GED & HiSET

General Education Diploma GED® Classes


  • No income requirements

  • Several classes, locations, times, and online options available

  • 18 years of age and older, however, in Pennsylvania, you can be 16 or 17 years of age and take the GED® test if you meet the exceptions

  • Not currently enrolled in school

  • Diploma is issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education

  • Computer-based exam is given ONLY at authorized test centers (Bradford County Action is an authorized testing center)

HiSET® : High School Credential Program

  • No classes required, Hard copy and online preparation resources and one-on-one tutoring available

  • Eligibility: PA residents 18 years of age and older not currently enrolled in school,16 or 17 years of age exception with an approved HiSET® testing waiver

  • Diploma issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education

  • HiSET® exams are available in both computer and paper delivered formats at authorized Pennsylvania test centers (Trehab authorized testing centers located in Montrose and Tunkhannock)
